92 1UZ Toyota Pickup

Hey guys,

I figured what better way to introduce myself than to make a build thread haha. My name is James and i live in Ontario Canada.
i hope you guys like pictures because ill start this from the beginning

I have a 1992 Toyota Pickup that I SAS'd 2 years ago, then my truck got very rusty with all the road salt, maybe the fact it had almost 400,000km's on it had alot to do with it too so i totally redid the body, painted it speedway blue and powder coated my bumpers and rock sliders.. i am currently putting in a 1UZ with Phoenix Tuning wiring harness..

I will get more detailed when i have a bit more time but for now here is my truck

Then came SAS




Starting to show the rust



So last summer i started to tear it down






Fabbed up some cab corners/fender mounts

Painted it Speedway Blue


Started to tear the eingine down


Nice looking timing belt haha


Found a nest under the intake




Changed all the valve seals and cleaned


Little bit of acid and it looks like new


Powder coated valve covers

New timing beld, water pump, pulleys etc




Out with the 3VZ



4 core aluminum rad


Intake manifold powder coated

Got my Bell Housing from A1Turbos in New Zealand (R150F to 1UZ)


Made some motor mounts, i used the stock v6 for the lower part of the mount





Sitting on its own


Modified v6 flywheel and new HD clutch from Marlin


Ran larger wire to the main fuse box


Some wiring


Drive train


Custom fuel line

I must say the wiring harness is phenominal and done very well, i coudlnt be happier
